Could there be an ultimate truth
that outlives every lie?
Could there be a hand to sooth
the pain we cannot deny?

If they planted a tree
for everything that you hide
there'd be a forest around me
but still no one by my side

If there were a cloud
for every one of your lies,
thunder would sound too loud
and the sun would never rise

If there were one more day
to the short human life
for everything you don't say,
some more years we'd survive

I would have given my life for you
but you destroyed what we had.
I didn't believe that a friendship so true
could become something like that.

Maybe someday I can forgive
you all the things you did
but I know as long as I live
this treason I will not forget!
